The reuse and exchange of EPAL pallets are at the core of the EPAL pallet pool. They ensure the sustainability of the use of EPAL pallets and the PPWR compliance of the EPAL pallet pool.
EPAL’s Terms of Exchange ensure that only those used EPAL pallets that meet the highest standards of quality and safety are deployed, reused and exchanged. If, on the other hand, used EPAL pallets show signs of wear and tear or damage that could impair their trouble-free use, they must first be repaired by an EPAL-licensed repair operation. The EPAL pallets can then continue to be used and reused.
The reuse and repair of EPAL pallets in accordance with EPAL’s Terms of Exchange form the basis for the long-term use of EPAL pallets over many years. Within the open EPAL pallet pool, producers of materials and products, processors and traders, logistics and service providers, and their customers can use EPAL pallets without having to register with EPAL or make any payments to EPAL. This makes the use and reuse of EPAL pallets simple and cost-effective, prevents waste and ensures efficient logistics processes.
